Our launch lot went to an independent lab at the University of Guelph: 86.96 % total carbon (dry basis), and a full eleven-metal screen that cleared every CFIA limit with room to spare. Those results are published against the lot number stamped on your bag, so you can check the exact material you bought.

Charged Earth Inc. is an independent Ontario corporation — gardeners and horticulturists, not a marketing company. We spend our days handling soil. We saw the difference a good carbon amendment made in the projects we tended. We could not find a consistently-labelled, batch-traceable hardwood product packaged for the home gardener. So we made one.
Every bag carries the same carbon numbers we would accept on a site we are installing.
